About Us

Compassion Structured, Trust Protected

We are a non-profit humanitarian initiative dedicated to cancer care navigation, patient support, and system guidance in Lagos and across Nigeria. Our work is grounded in dignity, equity, compassion, and ethical stewardship — treating access to care as an amanah (trust) that demands transparency, fairness, and accountability.

How We Operate

Governance, Ethics & Operations Framework

Adopted Version 1.0 – Cancer Care, Support & Navigation Initiative

Founder's Foreword

CCSNI was born from lived experience — from navigating illness, uncertainty, and gaps in care. This Governing Book exists to ensure that compassion is structured, trust is protected, and service is sustained beyond any single individual. Governance is not bureaucracy; it is responsibility. This document establishes the ethical, financial, and operational boundaries within which CCSNI serves patients with dignity, transparency, and accountability. It is a living document intended to grow with the institution while preserving its founding values.

1. Identity & Philosophy

CCSNI operates as a non-profit humanitarian initiative dedicated to cancer care navigation, patient support, and system guidance. Its philosophy is grounded in dignity, equity, compassion, and ethical stewardship. All decisions are guided by the principle that access to care is an amanah (trust), requiring transparency, fairness, and accountability.

2. Governance Structure

CCSNI follows a structured governance model that separates strategic oversight from operational execution. The Founder provides vision and institutional continuity, while governance bodies provide fiduciary oversight. Operational management executes approved policies without unilateral authority over funds or mission.

3. Programs & Operations

Programs are designed to address practical gaps in cancer care, including navigation support, emergency micro-support, and advocacy. Each program operates under documented eligibility criteria, approval workflows, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure fairness, impact, and alignment with CCSNI’s mission.

4. Financial Governance

All funds entrusted to CCSNI are managed as a sacred trust. Funds are strictly segregated into patient support, zakat-only funds, operational funds, and investment/endowment pools. Financial decisions prioritize donor intent, patient welfare, and long-term sustainability, supported by audits and internal controls.

5. Donors & Partnerships

CCSNI values donor trust and partnership integrity. Contributions do not confer decision-making authority. Partnerships are entered only where ethical alignment, transparency, and mission compatibility are assured.

6. Legal, Compliance & Risk

CCSNI complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Risk management frameworks proactively identify financial, operational, and reputational risks, ensuring mitigation measures are in place to protect beneficiaries and the institution.

7. Communication & Advocacy

Public communications are factual, respectful, and consent-based. Patient stories are shared only with explicit informed consent and never for exploitation. Advocacy efforts focus on awareness, prevention, and constructive system engagement.

8. Human Capital

Staff and volunteers are recruited based on competence, integrity, and empathy. Codes of conduct, training, and well-being policies ensure ethical behavior, professionalism, and protection against burnout.

9. Monitoring & Accountability

CCSNI regularly monitors program outcomes, financial performance, and governance effectiveness. Transparent reporting, learning, and independent reviews ensure continuous improvement and accountability.

10. Continuity & Legacy

Succession planning, institutional memory preservation, and asset protection ensure CCSNI’s continuity beyond its Founder. Dissolution policies safeguard ethical redistribution of assets should closure ever be required.
